Our mission
C3A promotes sustainable and resilient agriculture through the responsible management of environmental resources, with the aim of ensuring the quality and safety of agri-food products, supporting human wellbeing and protecting ecosystems.
To fulfil this mission, the Centre:
- trains professionals able to understand, manage and innovate complex agri-food and environmental systems;
- develops knowledge, technologies and strategies for agriculture and environments that are more resilient to global and climate change;
- transfers research results to society, institutions, farmers and companies;
- supports sustainable technological, economic and social development.
C3A combines teaching, scientific research and outreach activities, integrating expertise from agriculture, food science, environmental sciences, socio-economic sciences and legal studies.
Our vision
C3A aims to become a leading European reference point for research and higher education in agriculture, food and the environment.
The Centre’s vision is to act as a hub of knowledge, skills and innovation around the challenges of the ecological transition. It seeks to connect disciplines, institutions and communities in order to develop more sustainable practices in agriculture, food production and natural resource management.
In the coming years, C3A intends to strengthen its role as a platform for collaboration among researchers, students, companies, public institutions and society.
Its ambition is not only to generate scientific knowledge, but also to create a shared culture of sustainability, responsibility and innovation.
