Stress protectors to adapt viticulture to climate change
Project in brief
Climate change is affecting viticulture at different levels. Effective and ready-to-use biostimulants are needed to limit the negative effects of high temperature and low water availability on grapevine physiology and berry quality
Project objectives
-
Test the effectiveness of novel products which show encouraging preliminary results in reducing the negative effects of the global rise in temperatures and summer multifactorial stress conditions.
-
Evaluate and determine the relative mechanism of action both at the leaf and berry level
- Evaluate the potential effects on wine
Impact
The project will define novel avenues to protect grapevine against climate change
